Southwest Montana Community Health Center unveiled a new sign on Feb. 5, announcing the independent nonprofit’s new name, Blacktail Health.
For 40 years, SWMTCHC, located at 445 Centennial Ave., has been providing healthcare to Butte, Anaconda, and Dillon.
According to a spokesperson, the name was changed to make it easier to remember and to better reflect the organization’s commitment to accessible, comprehensive care for everyone.
Blacktail Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) “one-stop” center that provides patient-centered, integrated medical, dental, care management, pharmacy, and behavioral healthcare
All insurances are accepted and services are offered on a sliding-fee scale for those who qualify to make health care accessible and affordable. Each year, Blacktail Health cares for nearly 13,000 patients.
