Blacktail Health is pleased to welcome Cara McKee, PA, to its growing primary care team, bringing fresh energy and a patient-centered approach to care in our community. Cara earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies from James Madison University in 2021 and has practiced in primary care since graduating. She provides care for patients of all ages, with a particular interest in women’s health and preventive medicine; Cara focuses on helping patients make informed decisions through evidence-based care.

A Montana connection and strong clinical foundation
Cara grew up in Utah before her family moved back to Montana, and she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Montana, graduating with Honors in Human Biology and a minor in Global Public Health. Her academic background and hands-on primary care experience give her a well-rounded foundation for managing routine and complex health concerns across the lifespan.

Patient-centered care and clinical interests
Cara’s clinical passions include women’s health and preventive care, and she enjoys partnering with patients to develop personalized prevention plans and treatment strategies. She emphasizes clear communication and evidence-based recommendations so patients can confidently make informed health choices.

Life outside the clinic
When she’s not seeing patients, Cara enjoys reading, gardening, skiing, and mountain biking — activities that reflect her love of learning and Montana’s outdoors.
