Blacktail Health, southwest Montana’s community health center, will kick off National Community Health Center Week with an informational booth at Farmers Market in Uptown Butte from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Located at 455 Centennial Ave., the center will host a variety of events throughout the week, including “Celebrating Our History,” Patient Appreciation Day, Health Condition Day, Staff Appreciation Day and Partner Appreciation Day.
National Health Center Week runs from Aug. 1 to Aug. 8 to honor and celebrate the essential work of Community Health Centers.
“We are proud to be more than just a healthcare provider,” said Tammy Cox, executive director at Blacktail Health. “We deliver patient-centered services for a wide range of health needs throughout our patients’ lives — from pediatrics to geriatrics. Every team member is dedicated to treating patients with dignity, respect and compassion.”
The week concludes with a screening of the Disney Pixar movie “Inside Out” at the Covellite Theatre, 215 W. Broadway St., on Saturday, Aug. 8.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Popcorn will be provided.
According to Blacktail spokesperson BreAnna Matich, the community event is a fun way to highlight the importance of mental health and allows Blacktail Health to educate the community about all the services offered at the health center, including counseling.
